Not just a job but a sense of community.

Get connected with employment and your peers. We have specialized employment and internship programs for people with developmental disabilities. These group programs enable you to work alongside peers with developmental disabilities in a larger, integrated work setting. We provide on-site job coaching in these settings to ensure you get the most out of the experience.

Get trained. Get employed.

Training is one of the most powerful tools available for gaining employment. We offer a 10-week paid janitorial training program for people with disabilities to gain work experience and learn the skills needed for success in the building maintenance industry.

We also provide classroom training on the soft skills and communication skills needed in the workplace, as well as vocational and situational assessments to help you discover what type of job you are best suited for.

We have specialized supports to assist homeless or at-risk individuals in successful training participation.

What are your interests? What are you good at?

We want to help you find a great job that answers those questions.

We can help you prepare a resumé, practice for an interview, access assistive technology, and more. We have been helping individuals prepare for, gain, and maintain employment since 1975 and we want to do the same for you. We will work with you to evaluate your skills, interests, and abilities and identify the type of employment that best suited to you. We will then connect you with an employer that is accommodating of workers with disabilities.

Getting the job isn’t the end. Once you are employed, we provide on the job coaching and training to ensure that you are successful.

Could your business be more welcoming to people with disabilities?

We provide workplace training designed to make your workplace more accessible for employees and customers with disabilities, at no cost to you. Our trainings cover a variety of topics:  disability awareness, cultural sensitivity, effective communication, American Sign Language basics, worksite accessibility and accommodations, and more. We are also an excellent resource on tax credits and other incentive programs for hiring individuals with disabilities.

Notice how some things never seem to get done?

There are some things you don’t need to do.

Contracting out some of these little jobs can increase your staff’s efficiency and satisfaction, while helping employ people with disabilities. We work with you to provide a group of trained workers to perform a scope of services under the supervision of an on site project manager provided by Toolworks, streamlining business operations for the company and increasing worksite diversity.
